In my year at REBNY, I have been able to lead industry-defining events including the Retail Deal of the Year and Sales Deal of the Year, as well as facilitate regular networking events and committee meetings that are vital to connecting thousands of commercial brokers.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was recently approached by a landlord with two medical spaces in two different locations that had been vacant for months. One was a fully built-out medical facility, and the other a vanilla shell. The landlord, who also does brokerage, was having a very hard time leasing these locations because of many factors.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m especially proud of my move to Herrick in 2022 and the continued growth of my practice because of that change. Change can be hard, but it has enabled me to evolve professionally and build on the strength of Herrick’s established real estate finance practice while we continue to grow the commercial finance practice.

The majority of these transactions involved complex insurance and risk management issues where a strategic, trusted adviser was needed. I served as co-lead counsel defending a client in litigation related to the widely-publicized and tragic Champlain Towers South building collapse in Surfside, Florida. Despite challenging circumstances, an intense media spotlight and the complex nature of the claims, we achieved a favorable resolution.
