2023 Women in CRE: Jenny Zhan, The Bromley Companies

Jenny Zhan
Director - Development
The Bromley Companies

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? Completing the major renovation and expansion at the 122 Fifth office building. The development was a fast-track project that started during the COVID pandemic. With a major tenant racing to occupy within our timeline to finish the renovation, the challenge was to manage concurrent tenant fit-out that would normally take place after the building construction. I led the daily coordination among the construction and consulting teams and managed the project budget for a successful closeout.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? Real estate is a people business. No matter a company’s size, a career-nourishing environment should cultivate diversity in talents, and highlight building long-term collaborative relationships.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? Women in real estate leadership are rare. I admire all fellow female professionals who apply themselves with confidence and a keen eye for detail.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “Jenny is an indispensable asset at The Bromley Companies. Her unwavering commitment played a pivotal role in the successful $100M renovation of 122 Fifth Avenue. Her ability to navigate tight deadlines and engage in high-level discussions showcases her remarkable leadership within the team.” - Nicholas Haines, CEO at The Bromley Companies.
