2023 Women in CRE: Christine Chipurnoi, USI Insurance Services
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In the past twelve months, I have closed over $2 million dollars in new business revenue. The majority of these transactions involved complex insurance and risk management issues where a strategic, trusted adviser was needed. The transactions involved properties all over the United States and with the support of my team, I was able to provide integrated client-centered account management and risk management solutions
2023 Women in CRE: Holly Gladstone, Herrick, Feinstein LLP
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m especially proud of my move to Herrick in 2022 and the continued growth of my practice because of that change. Change can be hard, but it has enabled me to evolve professionally and build on the strength of Herrick’s established real estate finance practice while we continue to grow the commercial finance practice.
2023 Women in CRE: Mia Abdou, RM Friedland
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was recently approached by a landlord with two medical spaces in two different locations that had been vacant for months. One was a fully built-out medical facility, and the other a vanilla shell. The landlord, who also does brokerage, was having a very hard time leasing these locations because of many factors.

2023 Women in CRE: Margarette Lee, Youngwoo & Associates, LLC
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In my 38 years as a real estate developer with over 50 properties developed, I think the most recently finished radio tower stands out to me as one of my proudest. Nothing like this was built in over 50 years in the area but we had the vision to make a catalyst project serving 2.5 million Latinos in New York City alone.
2023 Women in CRE: Mia Schipani. Houlihan Lawrence Commercial
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? The 80,000 s/f retail anchor store in the Stamford Town Center which I just closed and repurposed as the largest indoor pickleball venue in the U.S. (27 courts). The sales, marketing support and opportunities to team with others for mentorship and guidance.

Despite uncertainty as a result of rising rates and legislative headwinds, by running a streamlined process we were able to create a competitive bidding process, ultimately receiving over 10 offers and transacting at a sale price equating to an in-place 4.3% cap rate.
