What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2023? The Miami Center for Mental Health and Recovery was the culmination of 10 years of thoughtful programmatic design and advocacy by our Miami and New York studios, in tandem with judge Steven Leifman and Miami-Dade County. This first-of-its-kind mental health and diversion center sets a new paradigm for cities nationwide.
What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2024? We should continue to see greater investment in projects with community-wide benefits. The recently completed LIU College of Veterinary Medicine, designed by SBLM’s Long Island studio, has already earned AVMA certification, making it one of only 30 in the country and an important resource for veterinary care in the Northeast.
