What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? I secured a new bank client in 2018, which was impactful because it’s not so simple getting a seat on a New York bank’s bench of counsel.

What market trend(s) will impact your industry in 2019? There is a potential storm brewing – rising interest rates, compressed cap rates and changes to the expiring Rent Laws could lead to a significant increase in mortgage defaults.

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018?  With all of the work we do in various communities, it is hard to say that one project is better than another. However, the 2018 Annual Smart Growth Summit is the event that ties it all together.

What market trend(s) will impact your industry in 2019? Another anticipated interest rate hike in 2019 will continue the downward pressure on asset prices. Additionally, the NYS legislature is expected to introduce legislation in mid-2019 that will substantially increase regulations targeting multifamily landlords, lowering the demand for multifamily assets further (especially for rent-stabilized buildings).

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? The groundbreaking of a one of the nation’s first residential addiction treatment and research centers connected to a major health system.

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? In October, I financed a $32.5 million purchase of a 100 unit class A multifamily property on ten acres with two-story garden style apartments in New Jersey.

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? We had numerous accomplishments in 2018, including growing our team to 26 certified CRE coaches and our clients earning a record amount in commissions and fees. We expanded our service offerings to mortgage brokerage and banking, and held 2 sold-out live events, and several private events, including one exclusive event with Chase Bank.

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? One of our clients was in a unique situation where they needed to buy the building they occupied and also needed to buyout one of the business’s partners. The transactions were dependent on one another and both needed to be fulfilled in order for the business to grow.

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? In 2018, I was able to successfully implement an entire new website alongside new marketing print materials and brochures. This took a lot of coordination and collaboration with colleagues across different departments and offices as well as web and graphic designers.
