Whiting of Argo Corp. honored by NYARM

Lynn Whiting, director of management for The Argo Corp., has been honored by The New York Association of Real Estate Managers (NYARM) as the 2009 director of management. The annual awards ceremony, held at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square, recognizes a select group of preeminent real estate professionals who have helped raise industry standards of excellence. "This is one of the most important honors any manager can receive," said Whiting. "After 20 years of experience in the industry, it is a privilege to be acknowledged by my peers." Whiting oversees a team of 15 property managers responsible for more than 7,400 units in cooperative and condominium residences throughout Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx, including Riverdale. Prior to joining The Argo Corp. in 1995, she was a senior property manager with two real estate management companies in New York, where she managed residential properties in Manhattan, the outer boroughs and Long Island. A native New Yorker, Whiting is intimately familiar with the city and offers an unparalleled experience with cooperative board and condominium associations, physical plants, renovations and major capital improvements. Founded in 1952, The Argo Corporation is a family-based real estate owner and manager with residential and commercial properties in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx and Northern New Jersey. The company's primary service lines include property management for residential and commercial properties, residential brokerage, retail leasing and hotel management. The Argo Corporation owns and/or manages over 12,000 units in multi-family and cooperative/condominium properties and has a substantial commercial portfolio.
