What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? My most notable project this year is the new Village Hall in Great Neck.

How has your career path changed in 2022?  While my career path has not changed in 2022, my personal and professional approach has. I’ve tried to manage my daily responsibilities more efficiently by setting attainable but still ambitious goals.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Organizations including AIA, ACEC, New York Building Congress, SEAoNY and The Architectural League helped to get us back to more normal times hosting fantastic events and bringing members together.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? Property tax can be an existential issue in New York under the best circumstances.

What person, project, transaction, or market had the greatest impact on your industry this year?  Our business took a hard shift towards healthcare build-outs this year.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? The domestic need for high-quality affordable housing complimented by the growing prevalence of mission driven capital, has been a uniquely impactful trend this year in the workforce housing ecosystem.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? The $34.5 million sale of 1520 Fulton Street was a city record in Brooklyn, at a time when most of the market had slowed.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Simple answer is rising interest rates and the speed in which it has happened.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Rising interest rates have impacted our volume as many lenders retain our services when originating refinancing loans with borrowers.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2023? We expect there to be a tremendous opportunity for real estate investors who have liquidity to leverage the uncertainties in the capital markets environment for long-term benefit and wealth creation.

What person, project, transaction, or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year?  The return to in-person shopping has had the most significant impact on the retail market.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? “The most notable deal that we closed this year was the sale of a 402 unit apartment complex in excess of $150 million that involved multiple parties with differing goals.
