What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year?  The multiple Fed’s interest rate hikes, which translate to 6.0-6.5% lending rates have put downward pressure on valuations, which were already negatively impacted by the HSTPA 2019 rent laws.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? No doubt the most significant trend was interest rate hikes, which started to impact activity in the commercial real estate market in the second half of the year.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022?  JRM has made a significant investment in expanding our healthcare construction division’s capabilities in 2022, and it has been a tremendous year.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? Our fire/life safety division is run by the most qualified experts in the industry.  What matters even more to our clients is having similarly qualified personnel working with them onsite.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? Leasing 771 Ninth Ave. to Urban Pathways, an outreach program and drop-in center for the homeless community.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? In the past year, I have become a hyper-specialist in the challenging, demanding market of multi-family and mixed-use, rent- stabilized buildings.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? My most notable project of 2022 would be Wego Chemical HQ located in the Village of Russell Gardens.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? Each year, I aim to pass along as much knowledge as I can to the next generation.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Although it’s across the river, the Jersey City development boom happening right now is really benefitting the whole New York City metro area.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Redevelopment of mixed use projects within downtown areas, around train stations and on underutilized portions of Town-owned airports.

What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Increases in inflation caused primarily by the $5.9 trillion  of economic stimulus

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022?  This has been a very notable year for my team. Despite the challenges throughout the capital markets, we have managed to increase closed deal volume year over year.
