“Nick Baxter, an Associate of Asset Management at Silverstein Properties, has demonstrated remarkable growth and initiative, making him an ideal candidate for the “Rising Star” award. His crucial involvement in extending a $500 million loan for one of our office buildings, 120 Broadway, highlights his exceptional analytical skills and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes. Nick’s comprehensive analyses were instrumental in informing strategic decisions, securing investor approvals, and determining the most advantageous loan sizing strategy. Furthermore, he assisted in all lender inquiries and due diligence.” - AJ Arlauckas, Senior Vice President, Asset Management at Silverstein Properties.

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? It is inherently challenging to strike a sustainable work-life balance in today’s “always on” world. I’ve learned that adhering to dedicated time to “disconnect” each week helps me compartmentalize my personal and professional responsibilities and allows me to be fully present and engaged in both aspects of my life.

Beyond your professional achievements, what are some of your passions or hobbies? I come from a family of avid skiers and try to head to the mountains as much as I can during the winter. Once the snow melts, I trade the ski boots for running shoes to compete in road races across the Tri-State area.

Who are the key people in your life that have contributed to your success? Throughout my academic, athletic, and professional endeavors, I’ve always had mentors who have challenged me to become the best version of myself. “Do the little things right” is a mantra from my college coach that’s stuck with me – it’s something I strive to do in all aspects of life.
