What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? When I joined Cook Properties in 2021, the company was on the brink of a massive acquisition – including 55 manufactured housing communities, commercial real estate, equipment, and most importantly – 75 employees.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was recently honored to be included in Long Island Business News’ (LIBN) List of Most Dynamic Women Leaders of 2023. The list of 44 industry leaders is hand selected by LIBN and recognizes women that have demonstrated integrity, persistence and most importantly, leadership skills in their respective fields.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I recently represented a family that wanted to build a small apartment building for seniors who wanted to remain living in their community once they sold their empty nests. It was located in a vibrant, but tight-knit community that tends to resist change and especially new residences.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? The accomplishment that I am most proud of was being promoted to partner in January 2023. A goal of most lawyers, I was ecstatic to achieve this title early on in my career.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m very proud of the work that I do on a regular basis. Real property taxes are the single greatest expense for property owners and applicable tenants. It is a significant hardship that can be exacerbated by an evolving market.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? This past July, Avant-Garde Network (AGN), the company I founded and lead, powered the fifth annual DCRE (Diversity in Commercial Real Estate) Conference, the nation’s largest
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In connection with the sale of an 80,000 s/f medical office building, I prepared a detailed review and analysis of the building’s financial merits as an investment opportunity based on its internal rate of return as well as a projection based on relevant market indicators.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m most proud of St. John’s University’s St. Vincent Health Sciences Center – a 70,000 s/f, three-story building that will serve as the new home for existing and future health sciences programs on the university’s Queens, NY, campus.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I served as co-lead counsel defending a client in litigation related to the widely-publicized and tragic Champlain Towers South building collapse in Surfside, Florida. Despite challenging circumstances, an intense media spotlight and the complex nature of the claims, we achieved a favorable resolution.
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In the past twelve months, I have closed over $2 million dollars in new business revenue. The majority of these transactions involved complex insurance and risk management issues where a strategic, trusted adviser was needed. The transactions involved properties all over the United States and with the support of my team, I was able to provide integrated client-centered account management and risk management solutions
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m especially proud of my move to Herrick in 2022 and the continued growth of my practice because of that change. Change can be hard, but it has enabled me to evolve professionally and build on the strength of Herrick’s established real estate finance practice while we continue to grow the commercial finance practice.
