One of our clients was in a unique situation where they needed to buy the building they occupied and also needed to buyout one of the business’s partners. The transactions were dependent on one another and both needed to be fulfilled in order for the business to grow.

Stroock’s national real estate group spearheaded many notable and exciting deals over the past year.  One deal we’re particularly proud of as a firm is our representation of biopharmaceutical leader Pfizer Inc. in its new global headquarters in one of Manhattan’s most historic and innovative developments: Hudson Yards.

The most notable window project I led this year was for the new luxury apartment complex The Lenox in Jersey City, N.J. Crystal Windows supplied over 2,000 energy efficient architectural aluminum windows combined to create expansive window walls for this development.

The Redevelopment Roundtable is a 90 minute information download from experts about all the NYC, NYS, federal and industry trends and hot topics relevant to site revitalization in NYC.

Manhattan, NY RKF, a Newmark company, has arranged a lease at 20 East 20th St. for Brideside’s first NYC flagship location. The Chicago-based retailer is disrupting the wedding retail market with its next-generation showroom experience, concierge-driven and all-channel retail strategy. Launched in 2014, Brideside is rapidly expanding and now has three brick-and-mortar showroom concepts. The Flatiron District flagship opened on November 13th.

Amazon is coming to Queens. But just what does this imminent arrival entail? The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) states that Amazon will build, renovate, and operate approximately 4 million s/f of commercial space on the Long Island City waterfront (Anable Basin) and create upwards of 25,000 new jobs with an average wage of over $150,000 annually. This is just the first phase of Amazon HQ2, there is a planned expansion of an additional 2 to 4 million commercial s/f and another 15,000 jobs to be added within five years after the completion of the first phase.
