What does it mean to you to be a team player?
To me, being a team player means valuing the input of all team members and insuring the maintenance of a safe space in which all ideas, ranging from outlandish to sensible, can be brought forth for the mutual benefit and enjoyment of all. Being a team player means delegating power and authority to grow each individual, and inspire them to go beyond what they think they could accomplish. Most importantly, being a team player means intentionally listening, and asking a follow up question, “Tell me more...” before I speak.
