SUNY Fredonia breaks ground on $5.7 million incubator const. project
SUNY Fredonia president Dennis Hefner was joined by federal, state and regional officials, who together broke ground on the construction phase of the new SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, a $5.7 million economic development effort. The incubator, a partnership with the city and Chautauqua County, will offer a variety of resources to up to 30 start-up companies with a technology focus and a commitment to WNY. The project is already operating within a temporary facility, but the completion date for this 21,000 s/f, two-story permanent structure is targeted for the fall of 2009. Located at 214 Central Ave., the incubator will be an extension of the main SUNY Fredonia campus.
