Frey appointed leasing manager for The Durst Organization's 10 million s/f portfolio; Previously worked as a director at Newmark Knight Frank

Jonathan (Jody) Durst, president of The Durst Org. Inc. appointed Brandl Frey as leasing manager. Frey will be part of the team responsible for leasing The Durst Org.'s 10 million s/f commercial portfolio. She joins Thomas Bow, senior VP, Eric Engelhardt, VP, John Grotto, senior leasing manager and Karen Akbarzadeh, leasing associate. "We are extremely pleased that Brandl has joined The Durst Org.," said Durst. "Brandl is a proven professional with an outstanding track record of success as a commercial broker. She has leased some of New York's most prestigious buildings and has worked with many of the city's most distinguished tenants. As The Durst Org. expands, we are lucky to have Brandl assisting us in leasing our portfolio." I am eager to join my colleagues and to help lease N.Y.'s best commercial portfolio." Frey previously worked at Newmark Knight Frank as a director with the James Kuhn and Brian Waterman team. Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank she spent over six years working with the brokerage services group of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. where she specialized in landlord and tenant representation. She has worked as leasing agent of 1333 Broadway, 1350 Broadway, 1359 Broadway, 450 West 15th St. and 855 Avenue of the Americas, 112 West 34th St. and 250 West 57th St. In addition she has worked on the leasing teams for 1400 Broadway, 1500 Broadway, 200 Fifth Ave./1107 Broadway, 640 5th Ave., 130 East 59th St. and 730 5th Ave. Frey represented tenants including Gildan USA, Morgan Stanley, CBS, Westwood One, Ceridian Corporation, Chicago Title, The New York Open Center, Tommy Hilfiger, Massimo Zanetti USA, Park Avenue Equity Partners, Sony BMG, Roytex, Inc. and Whiteweld & Co. Frey is active in numerous industry organizations including the Young Men's & Women's Real Estate Association where she is the membership chairman. Frey is also actively involved with the Real Estate Board of New York, CoreNet and is co-chair of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Developing Leaders. She serves on the junior board of Project Renewal and on the junior benefit committee for chashama. She is also an active member of Community Board 5 and one of Citizen's Union's Gotham Reformers. She holds a BA in Philosophy from New York University.
