Bonett of Adams and Divaris of Divaris Real Estate rep tenant in 6,000 s/f lease

Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC brokered a 10-year, 6,000 s/f lease at 140 West 22nd St. for Dermalogica. This will launch the Dermalogica Academy offering, the state required educational program to become a licensed professional skin therapist, skin treatment services and Dermalogica skin care products. Alan Bonett of Adams & Co. Real Estate and Michael Divaris of Divaris Real Estate represented the tenant while Jonathan Krieger and Gregg Covey of Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC represented the landlord. The Clement Clark, a pre-war high-rise at 140 West 22nd St., is a newly-converted boutique loft condo in the Chelsea neighborhood with a 24-hour doorman, full-time superintendent and porter. "Dermalogica is an exciting and dynamic company that needed to be in an area equally as progressive," said Bonett. "The location at 140 West 22nd St. is a prime Chelsea location that will undoubtedly serve them well." Dermalogica is researched and developed by The International Dermal Institute (IDI), the premier provider of postgraduate skin and body therapy for skin care professionals in over 38 Training Centers worldwide. For over 25 years, The International Dermal Institute and Dermalogica have pushed the skin care industry envelope to its limits, literally redefining the industry's standard for professional excellence and offering skin therapists a unique opportunity to reach their personal best in the process. Jane Wurwand, Founder of Dermalogica and IDI, pioneered the industry's shift in focus from esthetic beauty to skin health; not only with innovative products free of commonly-used skin irritants, but through the advanced education of skin care professionals, expertly trained to assess each client's unique skin care needs one-on-one and prescribe a subsequent regimen for customized results. This interactive, no-nonsense relationship between skin care professional and client has given Dermalogica a cult-like following that includes celebrities, beauty editors and consumers worldwide. Dermalogica is manufactured in the USA, is only available through highly-trained professionals at 6,500 shops nationwide and is used by more than 75,000 professional skin therapists around the world. Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC is among the top five leasing companies in New York City, as measured by total s/f.
