WNY NYSCAR's 10th Annual Awards Dinner a huge success

The Western New York Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of REALTORS (WNY NYSCAR) held its Tenth Annual Awards Dinner and swearing in ceremony for the 2011 board of directors, February 10. Held again this year at the Buffalo Yacht Club, the event sold out to an audience topping 180 attendees. The Western New York Chapter award for the largest sale transaction of 2010 was granted to commercial Realtor Jeffrey LiPuma of CB Richard Ellis, for the sale of the Youngman Plaza located in Tonawanda valued at $17+ million. The largest lease transaction was awarded to Bob Schell of Pyramid Brokerage, for the long term lease at Uniland Development Company's University Corporate Parkway, in Amherst, to Meritain Health. . Other award recipients included Peter Cammarata, president of Buffalo Urban Development Corporation for the Meritorious Service Award and Peter Hunt, president & CEO of Hunt Real Estate, for the Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, recognition was given to the 1st and 2nd runners up of the largest sale and lease transactions of the past year. NYSCAR gave a special thanks to chairmen Alan Hastings, of Hastings Cohn Real Estate and Nicholas Malagisi, of Sperry Van Ness/Commercial Realty for organizing the event for the last nine years. NYSCAR would also like to thank Bill Huessler, Colleen Brennan, Larry Brassel and Eric Tudor who made up the committee for this year's event, which has now become the premier event for the commercial brokerage community of the Greater Buffalo Niagara region.
