Weiss of YM/WREA and Vornado honored by New York Cares

New York Cares recognized Glen Weiss, chairman, Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association (YM/WREA), and senior VP Vornado Realty with its "Corporate Community Outreach Award." Weiss has been a force behind the Annual New York Cares Coat Drive and rallied the city's commercial real estate community to collect the greatest number of coats in 2009 (1,394 coats) as well as in 2008. In the fall of 2009, he also organized a team of over 25 real estate professionals to make physical improvements to PS 199 in connection with New York Cares Day. Founded in 1987, New York Cares runs volunteer programs at 1,000 non-profits, public schools, and city agencies to help meet the critical needs of people living in poverty.
