Transwestern hires Ashforth as a principal

Transwestern has retained Thomas Ashforth as principal of its northeast region's agency leasing and tenant advisory services groups. Transwestern completed an expansion into the city through the creation of the firm's northeast region. The region, led by northeast regional president Patrick Robinson and his partner, Lindsay Ornstein, is recruiting seasoned real estate professionals to join its office. Ashforth's career in real estate spans 24 years. Most recently he served as The Ashforth Co.'s senior vice president of investments, where he was instrumental in developing and executing Ashforth's East Coast acquisition program. Prior to joining The Ashforth Co, Ashforth was employed by Hines where he was responsible for management, acquisitions and redevelopment of class A commercial properties in N.Y. and surrounding areas. "We are very pleased to welcome Tom to our team," said Robinson. "He brings first-rate expertise in the Connecticut and New York real estate markets, with a track record to prove it. During our region's growth stage we are seeking to recruit the best industry professionals to help us build the northeast region, and Tom fits the bill. His background and experience will add much value to building our service platform in landlord and tenant Advisory, as well as in Investment Sales."
