skylight at The Rockleigh
Rockleigh, NJ The main ballroom at The Rockleigh, a Bergen County event and wedding venue, now has large new architectural skylights providing natural light to the interior space. The five structural skylights were custom designed and fabricated by GAMCO Corp., one of the New York metro region’s leading fenestration and architectural metals specialty suppliers.

Queens, NY National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems has engaged trucking company JB Hunt to provide logistics services, supplementing Crystal’s fleet for major customer deliveries and shipments between Crystal production facilities. top out 116,000 s/f multifamily building
Brooklyn, NY Slate Property Group in partnership with Avenue Realty Capital and SD Builders and Construction LLC topped out construction at 159 Boerum St. in East Williamsburg. The 116,000 s/f, 162-unit, building now stands at 216’ tall at the roof line. Workers marked the milestone with a ceremony on the 16th floor of the building. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.

Goldman Copeland names Allaben and Galarza as principals of the firm
New York, NY Goldman Copeland, the New York City-based consulting engineering firm, has named two new principals of the firm: Jonah Allaben and Daniel Galarza. Allaben will continue in his role as senior mechanical engineer and program manager to deliver energy-efficient engineering designs. He works closely with Goldman Copeland’s Energy Services Department to convert the findings of energy studies into energy-saving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions.
Frida Escobedo and Handel Architects design 27,000 s/f building for National Black Theatre, Ray and LMXD
Manhattan, NY National Black Theatre (NBT), Ray and LMXD celebrated the topping out of National Black Theatre and Ray Harlem, a 21-story arts and culture hub located at 2031 Fifth Ave. that will house a permanent home for the longest-running Black theatre in New York City, founded in 1968 by the late visionary artist Dr. Barbara Ann Teer.
2023 NY Building Congress report shows $13 billion construction spending increase
Manhattan, NY Construction spending on projects across New York City will reach $83 billion in 2023, up $13 billion from last year, adjusting for inflation, according to a new report from the NY Building Congress. The updated spending figure is projected to reach $261 billion over a three-year period and is about 18% higher than pre-pandemic spending.
