Sadlon named managing principal at Mancini*Duffy

John Sadlon has been appointed by Mancini*Duffy to the position of managing principal. He will oversee all aspects of practice-related activities, in addition to maintaining his ongoing relationships with clients such as ANZ; APCO Worldwide; Columbia University Medical Center; Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson; JPMorgan Chase; and OppenheimerFunds. He joined Mancini*Duffy in 2002 and has been a principal since 2005, leading the firm's Interiors Studio and focusing on large-scale corporate, financial, and law firm projects. He also leads Mancini*Duffy's global practice group, IPiD, which he established with the firm in 2003. Dina Frank, AIA, IIDA, president and design principal of Mancini*Duffy, said, "He's a committed advocate for our clients, strategizing creative solutions to satisfy the diverse needs of companies, and he's a real mentor for members of our firm. His promotion reflects the great confidence we have in his abilities, and the depth of talent we see in building our next generation of leaders." He is recognized for his strategic planning and management of complex new construction and renovation projects. Most recently, he was principal-in-charge for Mancini*Duffy's work on the 70,000 s/f relocation of Dorsey & Whitney's New York offices to the CBS Building at 51 West 52nd St., Schiff Hardin's 48,000 s/f relocation to 666 Fifth Ave., and Steptoe & Johnson's 26,000 s/f relocation to 1114 Avenue of the Americas, currently underway and scheduled for completion later this year. He also led Mancini*Duffy's team for Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto's 125,000 s/f relocation to 1290 Avenue of the Americas, a project recognized with awards from IFMA, SARA, and Floor Focus magazine. As the health of the New York real estate market continues to improve, the complex challenges of tight construction budgets and fast-track project schedules remain. In response, Sadlon's vision for the future of Mancini*Duffy is one of increased agility to anticipate clients' needs. In the past two months alone, Mancini*Duffy has hired eleven new professional staff members, adding to the variety of expertise and depth of insight that they offer. "We're building upon the foundation of the firm's legacy of design creativity and service excellence on behalf of our clients," Sadlon said. "I'm excited to have a team of dedicated professionals working alongside me to shape and propel our future."
