Lesser and Garfield of Leslie J. Garfield & Co. broker $11 million sale

Leslie J. Garfield & Co., Inc. has completed the $11 million sale of 227-229 East 58th St., a 25'-wide, six-story, mixed-use building located on Designer's Way of Midtown East between Second and Third Aves. The building, on a lot, 25' by 94' underwent a complete renovation in 2004 that included an elevator, full security system, new wiring, plumbing, custom cabinetry throughout and an outdoor roof terrace. The property was configured with high-end retail on the lower two floors, owner occupied offices on floors three and four, and a vacant residential duplex apartment on floors five and six. The property was delivered vacant with the exception of floors one and two. The purchaser, Roth & Sons Management, will occupy the fully built-out and renovated office space and has already leased the residential duplex apartment. Leslie J. Garfield & Co.'s Matthew Lesser, director of sales, and Jed Garfield, managing partner, represented both the buyer and seller. Craig Meltzer, Esq. and Steve Plotnick, Esq. respectively handled the legal work.
