Gotham leases 4,000 s/f at The Refinery at Domino

Brooklyn, NY Gotham, a licensed cannabis dispensary and concept store, leased a new 4,000 s/f store. Opening this fall, the plans for the new location kick off as the brand celebrates its first birthday and marks the continuation of Gotham’s mission to bring cannabis and culture together. The new storefront will be located in Williamsburg at The Refinery at Domino.

The Refinery at Domino is the crown jewel of the award-winning 11-acre Domino Sugar Factory site, a mixed-use development just north of the Williamsburg Bridge. Throughout the long-term planning process of the site, Two Trees Management prioritized design and architecture, community input, sustainability and waterfront connectivity.

“Having just celebrated our first birthday and making The Refinery our second location is a dream come true,” said Joanne Wilson, founder of Gotham. “Over the last year, we’ve worked on changing the legal cannabis narrative in New York state, and we’re only just getting started.”

We’re excited to expand our vision with Two Trees, who have built an incredible space that fosters creativity within the lively and historic Domino site.

“We’re delighted to welcome Gotham to The Refinery and support their expansion into Brooklyn, where they’ll continue to elevate and disrupt the cannabis industry,” said Bonnie Campbell, principal at Two Trees Management. “This innovative ethos seamlessly aligns with our approach to The Refinery, which redefines the traditional office and thoughtfully merges lifestyle, community, and culture. This shared commitment to forging new paths makes Gotham a perfect fit and a valuable addition to the vibrant, mixed-use Williamsburg neighborhood.”

Wilson, a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist with a track record of early investment in high-growth consumer brands like Food52, Parachute, and Sweet Loren’s, brings her expertise in lifestyle branding to Gotham. As the visionary behind the dispensary’s unique shopping experience, she has conceptualized the next wave of the cannabis culture, reshaping the consumer experience from the moment of purchase to how it’s enjoyed at home or amongst friends.

Culture and cannabis go hand-in-hand at Gotham. The Refinery, which has given new life to a historic architectural innovation and iconic New York City landmark, was a natural fit for the brand’s expansion. The new location will continue the experience that shoppers have come to know and love at the brand’s flagship store on 3 E 3rd St, offering a destination for cannabis, community, and connection. The new retail space will feature a premium cannabis selection, fashion, and lifestyle brands with a selection of fashion, fragrance, skincare, and home decor, alongside art exhibitions and activations that engage the local community and visitors of the award-winning Domino Park. Gotham’s Brooklyn location will open in the neighborhood this fall. The store will offer in-person shopping and in-store pick-up and expand the brand’s delivery radius to a new borough.
