Davis & Gilbert LLP sign 15-year lease at Rudin’s 1675 Broadway; Miller, Gottlieb, Gell and Wellen of CBRE rep. tenant

Manhattan, NY According to the Rudin family, law firm Davis & Gilbert LLP has signed a 15-year, 86,000 s/f lease at 1675 Broadway, a 35-story, 850,000 s/f office tower in Midtown.

Davis & Gilbert will relocate from 1740 Broadway in summer 2020. The new lease encompasses the 31st through 34th floors and a portion of the 35th floor.

Davis & Gilbert was represented by Lewis Miller, Scott Gottlieb, Brian Gell and Michael Wellen of CBRE. Building ownership was represented by Robert Steinman, senior vice president at Rudin Management Co.

The new lease was negotiated in-house by Davis & Gilbert partners Robert Karin, Mark Maltz and Glenn Motelson.  Rudin was represented by Pamela Leibow and Steven Fenton of Goldfarb & Fleece.

“We are thrilled that Davis & Gilbert has chosen 1675 Broadway for their new Manhattan offices,” said Michael Rudin, senior vice president at Rudin Management Co., the operating arm of Rudin Family holdings. “We believe they will benefit from 1675 Broadway’s outstanding views, state of the art connectivity, convenient access to transportation, and prime location steps from Times Sq. and Central Park.”

“We are very excited about relocating our office headquarters, just a couple of blocks from our current location in Midtown which will keep our many vibrant practice groups in the heart of Manhattan for years to come. Situated on the top floors of 1675 Broadway, the great views and efficient floor plates, coupled with the excellent amenities, a quality landlord we know and respect and central location in the heart of New York City was of the utmost importance when choosing a new location,” said Mark Maltz, co-chair of Davis & Gilbert’s Real Estate Practice.”

Built in 1989 by Jack and Lewis Rudin, the handsome green-gray Canadian granite office building at 1675 Broadway was constructed using the air rights over the adjacent Broadway Theatre. Designed by Fox and Fowle Architects and situated at the corner of Broadway and West 52nd St., the building features an elegant Italian marble-clad lobby with vaulted ceilings, virtually column-free floor plates that can accommodate up to 10 corner offices, and a 60-car parking garage. The property is Wired Certified Platinum, recognizing its best-in-class internet infrastructure and connectivity. It is close to the 7th Ave. B/D/E and the 57th St. N/Q/R/W subway, which offers a direct connection to the Second Ave. subway.
