Barron named executive VP of Massimo Group

Cary, NC Commercial real estate industry thought leader and Massimo University co-founder Bo Barron has been named executive vice president of the Massimo Group, where he has served as a coach and consultant for the past five years, according to Rod Santomassimo, founder and president. In this new role, Barron will serve as director of coaching, overseeing the group’s current coaches and consultants, as well as assisting in the orchestration of general operations. Barron will also oversee the recruiting of new qualified personnel for the rapidly expanding firm. As a current senior coach, active syndicator and former client of the Massimo Group, he has a unique perspective, Santomassimo notes. “Bo has, as they say, walked the walk and talked the talk. He has been one of our most effective coaches because of his own success, and a brilliant observer of people,” Santomassimo says. “From his days as a United States Marine through today, Bo is a true leader. I’m proud to call him a partner and friend, and excited that he will bring us to the next level of serving the commercial real estate industry.” In addition to coaching Massimo Group clients, Barron is a principal in his own investment company, and writes one of the CRE industry’s leading blogs at www.bobarron.com. He recently was named by RealConnex as one of the leading real estate professionals using social media to build brands and network. Previously, he served as the vice president of organizational development for Sperry Van Ness International Corp., and as managing director of Sperry van Ness/The Barron Group, where he assisted clients with transactions totaling over $50 million. He is a partner with Santomassimo in Massimo University, a unique online educational platform, and was the facilitator of its first course, “Creating a Dominant Digital Presence.” “I am thrilled to take on an even more formal role with one of the most innovative firms in commercial real estate,” says Barron. “Rod is a true forward thinker, and he’s built a terrific team. We’ve only scratched the surface of what is possible, and I couldn’t be more excited about helping us get there.” Santomassimo founded The Massimo Group in 2008 to provide a formal program of personal coaching to commercial real estate brokers of all levels of experience, and has since expanded the company’s services to include consulting on customized solutions regarding recruitment, hiring and management; staff restructuring; and succession and acquisition strategies. In addition, these services are now offered beyond the brokerage community to property management, mortgage brokerage and other real estate-related companies. The firm’s clients include representatives from a majority of the most successful companies in the business, including CBRE, Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield, Grubb & Ellis, JLL, Lee & Associates, Marcus & Millichap, and many more regional and local firms.
