United Group promotes DiGiacomo to chief operating officer

Troy, NY Michael DiGiacomo of The United Group Companies, Inc. has been promoted to chief operating officer of United Group’s management company, United Plus Property Management, AMO (UPPM).

In this role, DiGiacomo will take on increased responsibility in all phases of operations as well as play the crucial role of leading United Group’s growing management company as the organization continues to establish itself as a prominent, vertically integrated leader in the real estate industry.

DiGiacomo was formerly United Group’s vice president of operations. In that role, he oversaw the management company’s operations and the asset management of United Group’s senior, student, multifamily and commercial portfolios.

In his nearly 14 years with United Group, DiGiacomo has played a critical role in successfully executing lease- up initiatives for UPPM’s senior active adult, independent living “lite,” multifamily, and student housing portfolios.

Before joining United Group, DiGiacomo was a property manager for Gross and Cohen LLC, where he directed site operations for off-campus student housing properties in New York and Kentucky.
