Thru the Lens: Taconic and JRT Realty host cocktail reception

Taconic Investment Partners, developers of The BankNote Building in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, and JRT Realty, the property's exclusive leasing agents, recently hosted a lively cocktail reception co-sponsored by the Bronx Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the landmarked building's strong leasing momentum and to introduce brokers and local businesses to the remaining available office spaces. Lenny Caro, president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce; emceed the event attended by Bronx Borough president Ruben Diaz, Jr.; New York City councilwoman Maria del Carmen Arroyo; former Bronx Borough president Adolfo Carrion, Jr.; members of local Community Board 2; representatives from the office of Congressman Jose Serrano, a tenant at the BankNote building; and over 150 local brokers, business owners and BankNote tenants. Guests at the celebration had the opportunity to tour the building and enjoyed authentic Cuban cuisine by Bronx hotspot Havana Café, refreshing cocktails and a live DJ. "The Bronx is an incredible place to do business, and the BankNote Building has quickly evolved into an epicenter of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in Hunt's Point, dramatically changing this neighborhood for decades to come," said Diaz, Jr. "Taconic's long-term vision for this property and the neighborhood is now being realized as more and more businesses are making The BankNote Building their home, we look forward to this continued growth."
