The Metro New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will hold a conference September 24 featuring panelists including finance and real estate executives

Entitled "New York Dynasties and These Dynamic Times," The Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will present its Annual Conference on Monday, September 24th featuring a morning session discussion on "Turbulence in the Capital Markets," a late morning session on "New York Real Estate Dynasties," and a luncheon with keynote speaker Senator Charles Schumer. The first panel, moderated by Michael Stoler, host and executive producer of The Stoler Report, will focus on the recent turbulence in the capitals markets and the cause and effects of current conditions. Panelists include: Gus Faucher, director of macroeconomics, Moody's Economy.com; Merrie Frankel, senior credit officer/VP, Real Estate Finance Group, Moody's Investor Services; Steven Kohn, president, Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick-Goldman, LLC; Gino Martocci, senior vice president, director of commercial real estate lending, M&T Bank, NYC Commercial Real Estate Department; Peter Scola, managing director, Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC; Gale Scott, managing director, Structured Finance Ratings, Standard & Poor's; and Joe Vassallo, director, Credit Suisse Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group. Panelists for the late morning session, moderated by Thomas Shachtman, author, "Skyscraper Dreams, The Great Real Estate Dynasties of New York," include: Douglas Durst, The Durst Org.; Kenneth Fisher, senior partner, Fisher Brothers; Harrison LeFrak, executive vice president and managing director, Lefrak Org.; William Rudin, president, Rudin Management Co., Inc.; Kent Swig, president, Swig Equities, LLC; Andrew Tisch, co-chairman of the board and chairman of the executive committee, Loews Corp.; Donald Trump, The Trump Org.; and William Lie Zeckendorf, owner, founder and co-chairman, Zeckendorf Development, LLC. The conference will end with a luncheon where senator Charles Schumer will give his views on the history of New York City and what has made it the global center it is. The Annual Conference will be held at Club 101, 101 Park Avenue at 40th Street. Registration is at 8:30 AM. Breakfast and the program will be held from 9:00 AM to noon. The luncheon begins at noon.
