President's message: Partners event to be held in Boston

With the holidays in back of us it is now time to look towards the many business opportunities that we will encounter in 2008. We are fortunate to have one of these opportunities coming up from May 8 - 9 in Boston, MA. The Partners Event as it is called is a networking, marketing, education event which is aimed towards active CCIM designees that have enrolled in the CCIM Partners program. CCIM Partners is a formal business network for CCIM designees. The initiative is designed to give members the tools needed to market themselves and their services on local, regional and national levels. The primary goal of CCIM Partners is to provide the framework so that CCIM designees can serve clients more effectively and do more business. In talking with Carey Farley - business operations manager at the CCIM Institute this event promises to be very rewarding and memorable with a industry keynote speaker that will be open to all candidates and designees as well as a New England Chapter social event that will be again open to all candidates and designees. Registration for the Boston Partners Event will be available online in the beginning of February. Questions on the event can be directed to [email protected] Many tools are available to Partners such as advanced resumes, meetings, networking events, a personal URL address, top placement in CCIM search results and much more. Designees that have not signed up can do so for free at ccim.com/partners In addition to Boston - 4 other Partner Events have been planned for 2008 and will be in Atlanta, GA. (special multifamily event) Newport Beach, CA, Seattle, WA, and Scottsdale, AZ. Another important date to make on your calendars is the 7th annual Commercial Estate Conference to be held at the Turningstone Casino located in Verona, New York on June 16 - 18. This is an event well worth attending. Additional details and information will follow in upcoming articles. Mike Manzari is 2008 president of NYSCAR, New York, N.Y.
