Parker promoted to vice president at Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has promoted J.D. Parker to vice president, according to John Kerin, president and chief executive officer. Parker currently serves as the regional manager of the Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Haven offices, a position he will continue to hold. "J.D.'s superior management skills, brokerage expertise and excellent knowledge of the investment sales market make him a tremendous asset to our clients and investment specialists in New York, Connecticut and throughout the Eastern United States," says Kerin. Parker joined Marcus & Millichap as a salesperson in 2004. In 2005, he was promoted to associate and received his first sales achievement award. He joined the management team in 2006 as sales manager of the Manhattan office. In 2007, Parker was promoted to regional manager of the Brooklyn office. He began managing the Manhattan and New Haven offices in March 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Parker worked as a dive master in Thailand. He is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in operations and information systems management.
