McCabe and Toro join CPEX R.E.

CPEX is expanding its New York retail sales team with the addition of Duke McCabe and Joel Toro. McCabe will join managing partner Brian Leary's investment sales division, bringing ten years of management, trading and brokerage experience to CPEX. "We are excited to have Duke as part of our retail sales team and know he will prove to be a great asset to CPEX," said Leary. "He has impressed us with his contributions thus far and we know his experience and dedication will bring him much success." Prior to joining CPEX, McCabe spent three years in the Hess Corporation's maritime division overseeing the company's South Atlantic operation. He has also managed a fleet of tugs and barges for Hornbeck Offshore LLC. Along with his success in maritime operations, Mr. McCabe has experience in securities trading, investment banking and brokerage from his two years at The Bear Stearns Company. Mr. McCabe earned his Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and Business Administration from SUNY Maritime College. Toro joins the leasing division. He will join Eric Altschul and Ryan Condren on Timothy King's retail leasing team. Prior to CPEX, Toro worked for a Brooklyn apartment rental brokerage firm. He joined the CPEX leasing team as an intern in the summer of 2010 and was made a full associate this fall. Toro holds an associate in Applied Science degree for Business Management from LaGuardia Community College, a part of the City University of New York. "Joel's people skills and work ethic make him a welcome addition to the team. Owners and tenants will enjoy working with him," said King. As part of the New York retail leasing team, Toro valuates leases, prepares marketing packages and client reports, conducts market research, and arranges the lease of properties for landlords. CPEX was founded in September 2008 by Timothy D. King and Brian T. Leary, two prominent leaders in the New York City commercial real estate industry. The principals have provided a broad range of real estate and business services locally, nationally and internationally. We provide a full range of services for both real estate and business owners, through our innovative operating platform and entrepreneurial culture. CPEX implements a team-based approach in which each group is focused on a specific business line, product type and definitive specialization for each market.
