Hyman Hayes acquires Loucks/Franko Architecture

Hyman Hayes Associates of Albany has acquired Loucks/Franko Architecture (LFArch), also of Albany, and poises for growth. David Loucks joins the firm as a principal. With 20 years experience in a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, higher education, government, commercial and residential, Loucks will help lead the firm's technical, project management, and sustainable design capabilities while developing new business opportunities. Fred Franko joins the firm as director of design. Franko has 30 years of experience with institutional, governmental, commercial and residential projects. In his role, Franko will lead design efforts, ensure consistency with development of project-specific design solutions, and promote the firm's design presence. According to principal Stanley Hayes, the additions are "a natural fit that allows us to increase our technical and design capabilities. We are very excited as this will further bolster our pursuit of opportunities as a firm, while simultaneously providing our team the opportunities to develop and grow professionally." Principal Myles Hyman expects the new development to "strengthen and diversifies our current service offerings to new and existing clients alike. It positions us well for continued expansion into other vertical markets. We expect this acquisition will drive significant revenue growth and position us well for the future." In addition to the acquisition, Associate Jennifer Robillard is promoted to Senior Associate following 13 years with the Hyman Hayes. During her tenure she has been involved with significant projects throughout the region at Albany Medical Center, Saratoga Hospital and Saint Peter's Health Partners. Ms. Robillard is also a leader in the firm's marketing endeavors and champions the Firm's community advocacy initiatives. Jared Shue has also joined the firm as an Intern Architect. Mr. Shue, who resides in Albany, is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. He previously worked on commercial projects in Albany, NY and Washington, DC. Mr. Shue will concentrate on design, preparation of contract documents and construction phase services. He will be assigned to teams working for the NYS OGS, DASNY and Albany Medical Center. Hyman Hayes Associates is the 9th largest architectural firm in the Capital District, with a core focus on healthcare, science-technology, and government projects, and recent growth in the higher education, senior and multi-family housing markets.
