Holliday of Cresa awarded Service Provider of the Year

Kent Holliday, principal of consulting services at the New York office of Cresa, one of North America's largest tenant representation firms, has been awarded Service Provider of the Year by CoreNet NYC. CoreNet NYC, a division of the world's leading association for corporate real estate and workplace professionals, honored Holliday for his leadership in data and analytics. and for spearheading an initiative to identify opportunities for membership growth, better communication and higher rates of event participation. "I've spent the past four years building the case that data analytics can make a difference in the way CoreNet NYC, and any other organization for that matter, does business. This tool is pushing the envelope and challenging the CoreNet NYC board to keep making better decisions that achieve the highest level of success possible for its members," said Holliday. "I'm grateful to the board, and to the entire chapter, for presenting me with such an honor. I'm looking forward to continuing to support the initiative for CoreNet NYC, and hope to work on expanding its applicability to CoreNet Global." Holliday set the course for the data and analytics initiative in 2012 at CoreNet NYC's annual retreat. Since then, he has been leading the chapter to be the first within the global organization to harness raw data to make sense of the way the group operates. Holliday's efforts culminated this year with the help of Innovation Places, which developed an interactive iOS app that collects and synthesizes real-time data related to the organizational dynamics of the group. As of 2015, CoreNet NYC has reported a 34 percent net increase in members since the data and analytics program began. "Kent has always shown he is a thought leader within and outside of the Cresa New York office. We're very proud of the work he's done on the data and analytics initiative for CoreNet NYC," said Mark Jaccom, president and managing principal of Cresa New York. "Kent's commitment to the CoreNet NYC project and to the practical application he's proved data has on real estate planning shows just a small piece of what he's able to do for Cresa clients and the industry as a whole." Holliday has been an active member of CoreNet since 2008, the same year he joined Cresa New York, and brought his 20-plus years of experience in real estate and operations planning to Cresa's Consulting Services Group. Holliday is a member of the New York City chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute. In addition, he is a collaborator with Innovation Places, an international think tank that focuses on strategic real estate and workplace international challenges. Holliday received a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University. CoreNet Global is an association for commercial real estate and workplace professionals, service providers and economic developers. The organization's 9,000 members meet locally, globally and virtually to develop networks, share knowledge, learn and thrive professionally. CoreNet currently has 43 locally based chapters in the United States, including CoreNet NYC, as well as three networking groups worldwide.
