H.W. Kaufman Group’s NYC office to relocate to Silverstein Props.’ 1177 Avenue of the Americas

Manhattan, NY Silverstein Properties has reached a long-term agreement with H.W. Kaufman Group, which will relocate its New York City office to 1177 Avenue of the Americas.

“We are pleased to welcome Kaufman’s esteemed team of professionals to 1177 Avenue of the Americas,” said Harlan Strader, vice president of leasing at Silverstein Properties. “With high-level service and flexible design, the tower enables top companies to redefine their work experience and empower productivity throughout their organizations.”

Kaufman, which signed a 10-year lease, will occupy 11,012 s/f across a portion of 1177 Avenue of the America’s 21st floor upon its move from 555 Fifth Ave. in late 2025.

Silverstein was represented in-house by Harlan Strader, as well as by Lou D’Avanzo, Anthony LoPresti, Peter Kerans and Caroline Collins of Cushman & Wakefield. Kaufman was represented by Kirill Azovtsev, Shay Bolton, and Alex Redlus of Savills.

“Kaufman selected 1177 Avenue of the Americas based on its highly desirable location, state-of-the-art services and close proximity to our clients and insurance company partners,” said Casimer Daniewski, corporate vice president, real estate, H.W. Kaufman Group. “New York City remains an important hub for our global business – we look forward to partnering with a highly regarded landlord and capitalizing on our new space to continue attracting and retaining the industry’s best talent.”

Tenants at 1177 enjoy access to Inspire, Silverstein Properties’ signature amenities network, which offers hospitality-focused programming across its nationwide portfolio. Seventeen by Inspire, the building’s exclusive amenity floor, provides the perfect space to step away from the desk, collaborate with colleagues, grab a coffee, or participate in onsite fitness and wellness classes.

The 47-story, class A tower’s open and airy floorplates and modern infrastructure accommodate a variety of workspaces. At street-level, 1177 Avenue of the Americas’ renovated lobby features 60-ft. ceilings and an on-site café. Notable tenants include law firm HSF Kramer, private equity firm Mill Point Capital and nonprofit organization Practising Law Institute.

Located between West 45th and 46th Sts., 1177 Avenue of the Americas has transit access with 14 subway lines, Port Authority Bus Terminal, Grand Central Station, and Penn Station in proximity. The tower is near restaurants, bars and corporate headquarters, as well as Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Bryant Park and the Theater District.

“1177 Avenue of the Americas sets the standard for excellence, reflecting Silverstein Properties’ reputation as one of the city’s most respected owners,” said Kirill Azovtsev of Savills.  “The space’s prime location, premium office buildout and exclusive tenant amenities make it an ideal fit for our client.”
