Fosun Hive Holdings opens Halo at 28 Liberty

Manhattan, NY Fosun Hive Holdings has opened Halo, a new event space at the base of 28 Liberty, the 2.2 million s/f office tower with a 2.5-acre plaza.

Spanning 30,000 s/f, Halo is designed for a wide array of events with flexibility, accommodating up to 750 guests. The venue expands 28 Liberty’s existing events space, complementing the plaza and Union Square Hospitality’s Manhatta, a restaurant and event space on the top floor of the property.

Central to Halo’s allure is its perspective of Fosun Plaza through a sunken fountain art installation. Designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 28 Liberty is distinguished by its outdoor plaza, which hosts numerous arts and cultural events each year and which is home to multiple sculptures, including Jean Dubuffet’s Group of Four Trees.

Halo, which is actively hosting events as construction is completed, is positioned at street level at Liberty and William streets with direct site lines to foot traffic and easy access to lower levels. The venue is accessible to six subway lines and is a five-minute walk from the Fulton St. transit hub and the World Trade Center transit hub, connecting it to nearly every mass transit line in New York City.

Manhatta, which offers a restaurant and 20,000 s/f of event space across multiple rooms with 360-degree views of the city, has been successful as an events destination. Halo is positioned to accommodate larger gatherings and to operate in conjunction with Manhatta and the plaza for multi-faceted events.

“28 Liberty has become one of the city’s premier destinations for events, and we are excited to expand our offerings with this extraordinary and flexible new space,” said Jason Berkeley, Four Trees COO and Fosun Hive Holdings partner. “The elegance and scale of this venue is ideal for brands seeking an unparalleled experience.”

Fosun has engaged Hush Venues, a leading events planner, to market the new space.

Tri-state capital migrates nationally amid regulation pressure - by Reese Weaver

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
