DeMarte named 2014 NYSCAR Realtor of the Year

According to The New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR), Nick DeMarte is the recipient of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors 2014 Realtor of the Year Award. The announcement was made at the February 8 Board of Governors meeting held at the Desmond Hotel. The award is given each year to recognize an outstanding active member of NYSCAR. DeMarte was recognized for his commitment to excellence and his outstanding efforts on behalf of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors, Inc. DeMarte serves as chair of the NYSCAR Technology Committee. His assistance with the annual conference and marketing session and his untiring efforts with the Greater Capital Chapter of NYSCAR, where he served as president 2013-2014, are key to keeping the association a leading organization in the commercial real estate industry. DeMarte, Pioneer Realty Advisors, is a licensed real estate associate broker and investor specializing in investment properties meeting goals of clients and partners by providing creative problem solving ideas through brokerage and consulting services. Nick offers repositioning of high vacancy or dark properties, investment counseling, property financial analysis, due diligence, acquisition, site location and lease negotiations. DeMarte has recently relocated to the Huntsville Alabama area and is currently working towards securing his Broker's license in Alabama. Prior to relocating to Alabama Nick lived in the Capital Region of New York State where he worked with Foresite Realty Advisors representing national developers and retail franchise companies. In a prior life Nick was a well-known business and community member in Plattsburgh New York area where he was the owner and general manager of multiple car wash locations in the North Country Region. He was involved in all aspects of creating and managing a successful business operation for 22 years. His experience as related to the real estate industry includes site-selection, permit processing, construction, manufacturing of equipment and the associated financing required. In addition, daily operations management honed his skills in business marketing and sales. He has also been involved in numerous local volunteer organizations, serving on a number of Board of Directors and chairing various committee activities. Nick has also been active in the ice hockey community as an on-ice official and currently serves on the National Ice Hockey Officials Association Executive Board of Directors. The combination of his experience in the real estate industry, career as a small business owner, and his community-related efforts, have given him a unique skill set and a great deal of knowledge related to the commercial real estate business including site-selection, permit processing, construction, associated financing requirements, leasing, sales, marketing, and much more.
