ATCO welcomes Rodd & Gunn to 555 Fifth Ave.

Manhattan, NY ATCO Properties & Management signed a new 3,378 s/f lease with men’s clothing retailer Rodd & Gunn, at the base of 555 Fifth Ave. in Midtown.

Launched in 1987 in Auckland, New Zealand, Rodd & Gun’s new location at the corner of 46th St. and Fifth Ave., will feature 1,870 s/f at street level, in addition to 1,134 s/f of sub-mezzanine space and 374 s/f in the basement.

This marks the retailers third standalone location in New York City, with current storefronts in Flatiron and Dumbo.

“We are pleased to welcome Rodd & Gunn, a brand that has long been synonymous with quality and has cultivated a strong following for its exceptionally crafted apparel, to 555 Fifth Ave.,” said Kate Hemmerdinger Goodman, co-president of ATCO Properties & Management. “We are confident this new location will be a celebrated addition to the neighborhood for local shoppers and visitors alike.”

555 Fifth Ave. is a 259,000 s/f building strategically located just steps from Bryant Park, the New York Public Library, Rockefeller Center and the Fifth Ave. shopping corridor. Built in 1955, the building boasts green terraces, LEED certification, low loss factors, upgraded elevators and an artificially intelligent HVAC system.

The 20-story property offers a unique combination of office and retail space, with major office tenants including Howard Sloan Search, Maritime Capital LLC and Cornerstone Office Services. Other retail tenants such as Barnes & Noble and JoJu Vietnamese Sandwich contribute to the building’s vibrant environment.

Michael Paster of Newmark represented both the tenant and the landlord in the transaction. The asking rent for the space was $475 per s/f.
