Alma Realty leases 15,303 s/f in Long Island City, Queens

Queens, NY According to Alma Realty and Cushman & Wakefield, Charles H. Greenthal Property Sales, Inc., a family-owned and operated property management firm has signed a 12-year, 15,303 s/f lease at 30-30 Northern Blvd. in Long Island City. 

Alma Realty Corp., which owns 30-30 Northern Blvd., known as the Apple Building, is also a family-run New York City-based property owner and real estate developer with properties in the tri-state area ranging from residential, commercial, retail, and warehouse. Greenthal is expected to bring 105 jobs to the neighborhood and estimates it will move in around late 2017.

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Joe Grotto, Bruce Mosler, and Mitch Arkin represented Alma, while the firm’s Rob Eisenberg and Remy Libershon represented the tenant. Greenthal’s corporate management offices will remain in Manhattan.

“The various amenities offered – including the ability to take advantage of the favorable REAP benefit – made the decision to expand in this space very easy for us,” said Tom Schitt, CFO at Greenthal.

The eight-story, 213,000 s/f building features floor plates ranging from 26,000 to 30,000 s/f and 12-to-15-ft.  high ceilings. 30-30 Northern lvd. in Long Island City is located in close proximity to the MTA 39th Ave. and Queens Plaza subway stations, as well as the Ed Koch/Queensboro Bridge, and is easily accessible to Midtown Manhattan; being within a ten minute commute.
