VVA hosts toy drive event and benefit for HELP USA

VVA Project Managers & Consultants held a toy drive event and benefit aimed at providing cheer to the families living in HELP USA's housing for the homeless. In total a large truckload of toys were donated by the attendees as well as by advance toy drives held by several event participants. The toys, for kids of all ages who live in HELP USA's long-term housing with their families, arrived in time to help make this Holiday Season that much better! HELP USA provides permanent and transitional housing and supportive services to the homeless and people in need, many of which are women and children, to become and remain self-reliant. The non-profit organization has multiple locations in the NY Tri-State area; homelessness and HIV/AIDs prevention programs; and provides job training, mentoring, and services for youth, veterans and victims of domestic violence. The Toy Drive Benefit, which took place at the DIRTT Showroom, featured hors d'oeuvres and wine donated by Lane Office, cookies and cupcakes donated by local dessert purveyor, Cakesalicious. The evening's raffle prizes included a 42" LCD TV donated by TriTech; club seats at Knicks and Rangers games donated by Legacy Builders; a pair of shoes by Shane & Shawn; a gift certificate for a massage, training sessions and a 3-month gym membership donated by Complete Body & Spa; several sets of Knicks tickets donated by Henegan Construction, and many more. Sher-Del Transfer also donated moving services to deliver the toys to HELP USA. "Once again we want to thank everyone who participated in the event, all of the toy donors and sponsors. We had a tremendous outpouring of support this year, especially from the real estate, design and construction industry, and the toys are still pouring in," said Ray Arnold, Managing Director of VVA. "We are so happy to be able to brighten the holiday season for some of New York's neediest kids."
