Verrino Const. completes renovation of the 56,000 s/f 414 West 14th St.: PBS Realty is exclusive leasing agent

According to the owners of 414 West 14th St., a partnership between The Carlyle Group and SITT Asset Management, the redevelopment of 414 West 14th St. has been completed. PBS Real Estate has been named the exclusive leasing agent to market commercial space at this historic Meatpacking District location. The 56,000 s/f six-floor building is comprised of retail and commercial space, which is housed within the building's historic façade. All floors, ground through 6th floor, are available for occupancy this spring. Designed for corporate functions and exclusive to 6th floor tenants is a rooftop terrace. The renovation took one year to complete. The property was previously comprised of two separate buildings which were combined during the renovation. The project team consisted of MA Architects as the architect and Verrino Construction Services as the general contractor. "We are pleased to make available 414 West 14th St., one of the only completed retail and commercial buildings in the Meatpacking District," said Jack Sitt, managing partner of SITT Asset Management. "This iconic building boasts state-of-the art amenities and features rarely found in this historic district, making it particularly attractive to creative companies and their clients." "Over the past few years, the Meatpacking District has transformed into a premier destination for media, financial, hi-tech, and creative firms, as well as contemporary designers," said Laura Pomerantz, principal at PBS Real Estate. "The building is within arms reach of many key corporate and cultural attractions, such as the new Standard Hotel, Apple Store, Google corporate headquarters, the High Line and the future Whitney Museum site." The Meatpacking District is a 20 sq. block, 24-hour neighborhood on the West Side located between 15th and Horatio Sts. Beginning in the 1990s, the Meatpacking District went through a transformation; boutiques such as Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Laboutin, Theory, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Scoop, Ted Baker, Vince, and Apple moved into the area. Many corporations such as IAC, Google, Food Networks, EMI, Oxygen, Deutsch Advertising and Doubleclick have also relocated to the area in the past several years.
