Unger of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates reps landlord, Kimaqu Corp., in 1,000 s/f retail lease; Rothenburg of Olympia reps tenant

According to Neil Dolgin and Kalmon Dolgin, co-presidents of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, Inc. (KDA), the firm has arranged a 1,000 s/f retail lease for Cricket Wireless, the wireless service and products provider, at 166-34 Jamaica Ave., between Merrick Blvd. and 168th St. in the Jamaica area of the borough. Jeffrey Unger, a broker at KDA, negotiated on behalf of the owner, Kimaqu Corp. while Barry Rothenburg of Olympia Court represented Cricket Wireless. This lease marks a new storefront for Cricket Wireless, which has more than a dozen locations around the New York metropolitan area. Cricket Wireless will occupy 1,000 s/f of the total 6,000 s/f at 166-34 Jamaica Ave., and will join existing tenants such as McDonald's and Pay-O-Matic. Home Depot, the GAP and several other major retailers are in close proximity to the property. The building is located in the Jamaica Shopping District and benefits from high vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Hillside Ave., the Grand Central Parkway and Van Wyck Expressway are some of the major thoroughfares within close proximity to the area. The E, F, J and Z subway lines, the Jamaica Long Island Rail Road station, and a large variety of bus routes within Queens and Nassau counties are accessible from 166-34 Jamaica Ave. Founded in 1904, KDA offers over a century's worth of experience in the management, sale, leasing and marketing of commercial and industrial property throughout the New York metropolitan region.
