Two Trees signs 9,176 s/f lease to POV in DUMBO

According to Two Trees Management Co., POV, one of television's longest running documentary film showcases on the PBS network since 1988, has signed a 10-year, 9,176 s/f lease at 20 Jay St. in DUMBO. "POV's choice of films is highly artistic and they've won nearly every major film and broadcasting award possible, so they will surely feel at home in DUMBO," said Caroline Pardo, director of leasing for Two Trees. "Our community is teeming with fine art galleries and an impressive roster of artistic professionals." POV stands for "point-of-view." Eight other new leases were signed for the 9th floor of 20 Jay St., including a 10-year, 10,000 s/f by architecture firm, Front, Inc. Fellow new tenants include three social media and technology companies, Socialbomb, Inc., signing a 3-year, 2,383 s/f lease, Loose Cubes, Inc., signing a 3,144 s/f lease for a term of one year, and This Life, Inc., with a 2,243 s/f also for a term of one year. Clothing designer Roy Chan, and watch designer Pacific Standard Watch Co. have signed one-year leases on the 9th floor for 1,750 and 1,109 s/f of office space, respectively. In addition, architects, Katherine Davies and Frederick Tang leased 977 s/f for a term of one-year and Smith Restoration Inc., a company that restores facades, leased 1,641-square feet for a term of three years. Elizabeth Cottrill represented the landlord for the Space150, Inc. and Smith Restoration Inc. transactions while Pardo represented the landlord in the remaining transactions; Legacy Realty represented The American Documentary, Inc., City Connections Realty represented Front, Inc., Socialbomb, Inc. and Ideal Properties represented Smith Restoration Inc.
