The Feil Org. leases 3,500 s/f to Maharam at 257 Park Ave. South

Manhattan, NY The Feil Organization made known that Maharam, North America’s leading creator of textiles for commercial and residential interiors, has signed a lease for a 3,500 s/f retail space at 257 Park Ave. South.

“It’s exciting to see our properties include an array of uses utilizing the retail and office spaces above as showrooms,” said Randall Briskin, vice president of retail leasing at the Feil Organization.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Maharam to 257 Park Avenue South as we initiate our capital improvements to the building which will include brand-new retail storefronts throughout, a new lobby and entrance into the building and new elevator cabs.”

“The Feil Organization has been a valuable partner not only in our search for a new space but also over the many years that we at Maharam and as part of the MillerKnoll collective have been tenants in the Feil Organization’s properties,” said Maharam president, Tony Manzari. “For us, Park Avenue South is a highly desirable corridor for a street-level storefront given the neighborhood’s design-centric community and impressive foot traffic. We look forward to moving into our new space.”

Owned by parent company MillerKnoll, Maharam is recognized for its rigorous and holistic commitment to design as a leading provider of textiles to architects and interior designers. Maharam embraces a range of disciplines, from product, graphic, and digital design to art and architecture.

257 Park Avenue South, also known as the Gramercy Park Building, is in the Manhattan’s Flatiron District/Union Square/Gramercy Park neighborhood. Situated at the corner of 21st St., the 20-story art deco building offers views of Midtown-South and is surrounded by a variety of commercial businesses and a neighborhood. The 226,000 s/f building also offers a concierge desk, 24/7 access and security cameras. The Feil Organization is completing capital improvements to the property including upgrading its retail storefronts, lobby and elevators for the office space. Feil owns two other commercial assets in the same vicinity, including 250 and 251 Park Avenue South.

Maharam was represented by Jason Greenstone and Justin Royce of Cushman & Wakefield. The Feil Organization was represented in-house by Randall Briskin.
