Staats of Katz signs Uptown Cheapskate to first New Jersey location

Woodland Park, NJ Uptown Cheapskate, a fashion resale franchise, will open its first New Jersey location at West Fells Plaza. BaseCamp Franchising, the parent company of Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid, is bringing the concepts to New Jersey through its franchisees. Re-Find Collective LLC, operated by Nancy Mair and Stacy LaFontant retained Katz & Associates’ Amy Staats for tenant representation to sign the 7,062 s/f lease for this location. Shane Wierks of Jeffery Realty represented the landlord.

“This lease is a great fit, and I’m so glad to work with Re-Find Collective to make it happen. Uptown Cheapskate resonates with consumers, and West Fells Plaza offers outstanding visibility, accessibility, and parking. Together, these qualities make it an ideal location to introduce Uptown Cheapskate to New Jersey,” said Amy Staats, vice president of Katz & Associates.

“Opening NJ’s first Uptown Cheapskate is incredibly exciting for us. Working with Amy Staats was amazing, and in return we have this incredible location that checked all our boxes,” said Nancy Mair and Stacy LaFontant, Re-Find Collective. “We aren’t just opening a retail store, we are creating a place where people can discover amazing fashion, shop more sustainable, and feel connected to the community. We have already experienced a warm welcome from the Township and our neighboring businesses and look forward to being a part of the Woodland Park community.”

Uptown Cheapskate and Kid to Kid continue to seek additional New Jersey locations.
