What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Recently, we helped a client secure insurance for a substantial number of buildings as their first major purchase.
Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices? It has become apparent as I continue to grow professionally and personally that my role model is Angela Connolly, my mom. I grew up with a mother who managed to do it all, and still does, for her family and her community.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I would say it’s a close tie between finally starting my own company, Verada Retail, with my partner Brendan Thrapp and securing Brooklyn Brewery’s new flagship location at 1 Wythe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn!
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I believe it is very important to keep up with my professional contacts. Earlier this year, I learned that a contact took over as chief lending officer at a bank Lantern had never done business with.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? We investigated potential energy conservation measures (ECMs) for three interconnected buildings housing a variety of tenants from a movie studio to a medical facility.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m most proud of facilitating the sale of 54-56 East Broadway for $7.23 million. The property had two Lis-Pendens, over 100 violations, multiple squatters, and arrears.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I recently worked on a complicated transaction with a mezzanine component that presented several challenges.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? A recent transaction I am proud of is my closing on 11/1/2022 for 725 East 214th St., Bronx, NY. This deal had a lot of hurdles: Interest rate hikes, multiple contracts fall through and re trading.
What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry? Professional success does not come easy and is the result of hard work, focus, drive, and determination.
What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way?
Never take anyone’s word for it. This is my number one piece of advice. You must understand the issue for yourself, come to your own conclusion and have the confidence to stand up for your position.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Starting a career as a retail leasing broker at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic is an accomplishment I am incredibly proud of.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? The transaction I am most proud of was the $211 million sale of One Union Sq, South in Manhattan. We completed this transaction in the heart of the pandemic while the city was experiencing record-high vacancy and low investor confidence.
