Simone Development signs five leases totaling 10,800 s/f at Boyce Thompson Center

Yonkers, NY Simone Development Companies has signed five new leases totaling 10,800 s/f of medical, restaurant and retail space at the Boyce Thompson Center, an exciting new 85,000 s/f mixed-use center under construction. Gastroenterology of Westchester LLC and Juvanni MedSpa & Anti-Aging Center/Primary Medical Care have signed leases of 4,812 s/f and 1,840 s/f, respectively. Taco Project Yonkers, an award-winning restaurant, signed a lease for 1,470 s/f; Tompkins Mahopac Bank has leased 1,670 s/f for a new branch location; and PLUSH Blow Dry Bar salon is leasing 972 s/f. “Fully committed to exceptional patient care, Gastroenterology of Westchester is pleased to be opening our new office at the Boyce Thompson Center. It is the ideal location for our growing medical practice,” said Dr. Jose Lantin. Thompkins Mahopac Bank president and CEO Gerald Klein, Jr. said, “We’re thrilled to be relocating our Branch to the exciting and innovative mixed use Boyce Thompson Center which will offer our customers greater convenience in a high visibility location.” With the signing of the five leases, approximately 35 percent of the Boyce Thompson Center is leased. Late last year, Fortina, an Italian restaurant nationally-renowned for its cool style and farm fresh cuisine, signed a lease for 5,587 s/f on the main level of the building. St. John’s Riverside Hospital is leasing the entire two-level 15,000 s/f freestanding building at the center for medical offices. “We are very pleased at the level of leasing activity we are seeing at the Boyce Thompson Center. This unique and innovative project is attracting a wide range of tenants including medical practices, restaurants and retail.  We look forward to our opening this fall,” said Joseph Simone,president of Simone Development Companies. Located off Executive Blvd. in Northeast Yonkers, the Boyce Thompson Center is an innovative mixed-use development featuring class A office space for businesses and medical practices, retail stores, banking and restaurants. The historic Boyce Thompson building, which was built in the early 1900s, is being restored to its original character. In addition to the freestanding building to be occupied by St. John’s Riverside Hospital, a new building will be connected to the original building creating a total of 70,000 s/f of space. The center will also include outdoor site amenities such as areas for seating, eating and learning.
