What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In connection with the sale of an 80,000 s/f medical office building, I prepared a detailed review and analysis of the building’s financial merits as an investment opportunity based on its internal rate of return as well as a projection based on relevant market indicators.
2023 Women in CRE: Khanna Parente, Shawmut Design and Construction
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m most proud of St. John’s University’s St. Vincent Health Sciences Center – a 70,000 s/f, three-story building that will serve as the new home for existing and future health sciences programs on the university’s Queens, NY, campus.
2023 Women in CRE: Jaimee Nardiello, Zetlin & De Chiara LLP
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I served as co-lead counsel defending a client in litigation related to the widely-publicized and tragic Champlain Towers South building collapse in Surfside, Florida. Despite challenging circumstances, an intense media spotlight and the complex nature of the claims, we achieved a favorable resolution.
2023 Women in CRE: Christine Chipurnoi, USI Insurance Services
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In the past twelve months, I have closed over $2 million dollars in new business revenue. The majority of these transactions involved complex insurance and risk management issues where a strategic, trusted adviser was needed. The transactions involved properties all over the United States and with the support of my team, I was able to provide integrated client-centered account management and risk management solutions
2023 Women in CRE: Holly Gladstone, Herrick, Feinstein LLP
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m especially proud of my move to Herrick in 2022 and the continued growth of my practice because of that change. Change can be hard, but it has enabled me to evolve professionally and build on the strength of Herrick’s established real estate finance practice while we continue to grow the commercial finance practice.
2023 Women in CRE: Mia Abdou, RM Friedland
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was recently approached by a landlord with two medical spaces in two different locations that had been vacant for months. One was a fully built-out medical facility, and the other a vanilla shell. The landlord, who also does brokerage, was having a very hard time leasing these locations because of many factors.
2023 Women in CRE: Leslie Donato, Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY)
What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In my year at REBNY, I have been able to lead industry-defining events including the Retail Deal of the Year and Sales Deal of the Year, as well as facilitate regular networking events and committee meetings that are vital to connecting thousands of commercial brokers.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? In my 38 years as a real estate developer with over 50 properties developed, I think the most recently finished radio tower stands out to me as one of my proudest. Nothing like this was built in over 50 years in the area but we had the vision to make a catalyst project serving 2.5 million Latinos in New York City alone.
