What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2018? Assisting in the removal of two large buried oil tanks that were leaking. The tanks were excavated and disposed of and the impacted soil remediated.  Had the tanks continued to leak, groundwater would have been impacted causing a larger more expensive situation to correct.

Like most statutes, the Opportunity Zone (OZ) provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which have created such excitement in the real estate investment and development world, left many critical issues unresolved and questions unanswered, delegating to the U.S. Treasury the task of grappling with such issues and questions in regulations and rulings.

In 2018, I was able to successfully implement an entire new website alongside new marketing print materials and brochures. This year ACC was appointed as property manager for four large commercial office buildings that were placed into receivership. We managed the buildings from the appointment of the receivership to the sale of each building, and continue to manage two of the buildings post sale.

The most notable project and transaction of the year was closing on a 36 MW solar project for a 109-acre solar farm for $14 million on Long Island, Suffolk County, Calverton, Town of Riverhead, NY.
