Schubert joins TerraCRG as a managing director

Peter Schubert has joined TerraCRG as a partner and managing director of commercial leasing. He will be responsible for expanding TerraCRG's leasing division, which is credited for bringing Manhattan retailers such as Patsy's Pizzeria, Doughnut Plant, and Soul Cycle to the borough. Also, TerraCRG's leasing team is exclusively marketing the space for lease at 166 Flatbush Ave., across from the entrance to the Barclays Center. His role will include recruiting, supporting the sales division, and expanding TerraCRG's presence throughout the borough. He brings 12 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has worked on hundreds of leasing and sales transactions ranging from 300 s/f to over 300,000 s/f. No stranger to the area market, he was part of the original brokerage team in Massey Knakal's Brooklyn office in 2003. He later managed the Moinian Group's 13 million s/f commercial retail and office portfolio. His notable deals include representing Moinian in bringing ad agency Y&R from 285 Madison Ave. to a new 340,000 s/f headquarters at 3 Columbus Cir. in 2011. He also represented Moinian in delivering a lease to the NBA to create its forthcoming 28,000 s/f retail flagship on Fifth Ave. "We are so excited to welcome Peter back into Brooklyn," said Ofer Cohen, founder and president of TerraCRG. "We believe Peter's intimate understanding of the Brooklyn market coupled by strong institutional leasing background will supercharge our leasing activity in a market where landlords and tenants are craving Brooklyn expertise, institutional level service and guidance in navigating this market." "I'm very glad to be back in Brooklyn, where there is clearly a tremendous opportunity on the retail leasing front," said Schubert. "I have a long history with the TerraCRG team, and I'm very familiar with this market, so it's a natural fit." He is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers, and an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York and Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association. Prior to entering the New York commercial real estate industry, he spent ten years in investment banking. He is fluent in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, and holds a BA from the University of California at Davis, and an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management. Only Brooklyn. TerraCRG, is the only real estate brokerage firm focused solely on commercial Brooklyn transactions. In just under 7 years, TerraCRG has established itself as a true market leader.
