Savitt Partners secures 2,100 s/f showroom lease at 530 Seventh Avenue

SBF Industries Ltd. has secured a new 2,100 s/f lease at 530 Seventh Ave. Bob Savitt, founder and president of Savitt Partners, acted on behalf of the ownership, while Marc Schoen and Michael Schoen represented SBF Industries in its three-year commitment at the property. "SBF Industries, whose fashion brands sell to large national department stores including Macy's, Bon-Ton and Dillard's, was looking for a premier showroom building that was in close proximity to several transportation options and offered 24/7 concierge service and upgraded security," said Savitt. "The 30-story, contemporary showrooms at 530 Seventh Ave. more than fit the bill." SBF Industries was previously located at 214 West 39th St. and plans to relocate its showrooms to 530 Seventh Ave. by mid-July. This lease comes on the heels of six other recent transactions at the property. Last month, women's apparel company Maggy London International renewed its existing 18,200-square-foot lease on the 16th floor and took an additional 3,600 square feet of showroom space on the 15th floor. Topson Downs, with its brands Material Girl and Fire, signed a 6,500-squre-foot showroom lease at the property for an additional term of five years. Meanwhile, LA-based YMI, which was previously subletting space at the property, committed to a direct lease of 5,500 square feet. Rounding out the group, Romanian fashion designer Lorena Sarbu inked a 2,100-square-foot lease for a term of five years, fashion house Tosca New York renewed its 1,700-squre-foot lease and Columbus, Georgia-based denim company Denim North America inked a 1,400-square-foot lease for showroom space. Built in 1930, the 460,000-square-foot, Art-Deco 530 Seventh Avenue is the premier location for many of the hottest fashion companies in the contemporary, junior and missy category, as well as designer, bridge, menswear, urban, footwear and accessory industries. Prominent tenants in the property include Perry Ellis, Max Mara, Chaus, LAMade, Michael Stars, TKE, Point A Showroom, Swatfame/Speechless, Hybrid Apparel, Carmen Marc Valvo and Kenneth Cole.
