Richer named 2015 president of CIREB

Jessica Richer has been named the 2015 president of The Commercial & Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (CIREB), a trade association in Albany. Richer, a broker in the commercial investment division at Realty USA, has been a full-time commercial realtor for 14 years. Her real estate experience includes all aspects of land development, representation of landlords and tenants for leasing of retail, office and warehouse space and selling of real estate property such as mixed-use buildings, multifamily apartment buildings and all types of commercial real estate. Prior to working in real estate she was a registered lobbyist in the state of New York representing not-for-profit health care organizations. Richer is a member of the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) and participates as a member of the Commercial Issues Working Group and The Legislative Policy Forum. She is a member of the Greater Capital Association of Realtors (GCAR) and is a member of the board of directors for the Capital Region Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR). She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Richer was recognized as the "Top Branch Producing Team in 2014," the "Commercial Investment Agent of the Year in 2013" and "Top Branch Producer in 2013" for the RealtyUSA commercial division. RealtyUSA is currently the number one independently owned real estate firm in New York State. It has 68 offices and nearly 2,000 agents. In Year 2013, RealtyUSA closed $3.4 billion in properties including residential and commercial transactions which translate to roughly 22,000 transactions statewide. Richer was recognized by the New York Real Estate Journal for her commitment, determination and vision as a "Women in Real Estate" in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014. Richer was appointed to the Town of Bethlehem Board of Assessment Review in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and earned her Master Degree in Public Health from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She has been a resident of the Town Of Bethlehem since 1990 and lives in Slingerlands with her husband Alan and daughter Alexandra Richer succeeds Alex Kutikov, principal at RedMark Realty, as CIREB president. Other 2015 CIREB officers are Vice President Spencer Jones of British American and Secretary/Treasurer Felton McLaughlin of NAI Platform.
